Soup drive and Souper Bowl of Caring results
On Sunday morning, 3 February, the youth group sponsored a pancake breakfast to raise money for this summer’s work trips. About 45 people turned out and $206 was raised. Also that morning, we wrapped up the soup drive competition with the Baltimore UCC churches. In total, we collected 1755 points/cans. Trinity UCC collected just under 1100 and St. Michael’s a little less. The soup will be distributed to Lutheran Social Services and Maywood Mission to help feed the hungry of…

Lenten Worship/Study Series
Today is Ash Wednesday and this evening we begin our Lenten Worship/Study series entitled Journey of Stones, based on the study by the same name written by Steven Molin. For the next seven weeks (6 Wednesdays and Maundy Thursday) we will meet at 7:00PM for worship and study. The topics are as follows: February 6 – Exodus 32:1-24. Acts of Faith
I wonder how many of you watched ABC’s Good Morning America the week of January 23-25. They had a segment there about Acts of Faith. It is a book written by Eboo Patel. He is a Muslim. He started an Interfaith Youth Corps for youth from all different faiths. Trial Sermon and Congregational Meeting
It is with great pleasure that I announce that at this evening’s council meeting, 10 Feb was set as the date for the trial sermon and congregational meeting for the purpose of calling our new pastor. 40 years of music
During worship Sunday morning, 23 Dec, organist and choir director, Gary Culp and his wife, Marilene, were recognized for 40 years of service to Grace UCC. Gary is a retired Lancaster City School music teacher who became organist after the sudden death of the previous organist in 1967. Congratulations, Gary and Marilene!!
