Faithful or Faithless
Martha was the good servant, doing what was needed. Mary sat and listened. Sitting with the word of God is important, too. What matters is not what we do, but how/why we do it.
Stranger or neighbor
How do we recognize that everyone in our community is our neighbor? Everyone deserves our love. Everyone receives God’s love.
With All Your Heart, Love
If we don’t transform hate, we will transmit it. Human beings are not the enemy. The enemy is the violence and injustice inside us all.
Trust God
When the ground is swept from beneath our feet, can we, will we trust in God. There is goodness to be beheld even in trouble.
We Can’t Look Away
God calls us to welcome the immigrant, the refugee. Jesus was an undocumented refugee as a child. We cannot look away.
There will be Herods
There will be those who try to block shalom. God’s love cannot be stopped, it gets through the cracks. Will we be faithful?
God with Us
God reminds us that God is always with us.
A Reflection on the First Nowell
God will lead us to the Good News that is shalom on earth.
Glorifying Peace
You are invited to share in the peace that Christ brings into the world. When you experience the love of God, you can’t help but want to share that with others. Let us share that love and the peace it brings.
Mary’s Song of Liberation
As we wait for Christmas, Marry reminds us that God chooses the lowly, the poor, the refugee, and God sends away the rich and privileged. God favors the disadvantaged, the oppressed and the marginalized and brings wholeness.
