With the heavy snow in central Ohio this weekend, it seems like an appropriate time to remind everyone that the church council recently approved a policy calling for cancellation of services if the county is under a level 3 snow emergency. If we are under a level 1 or level 2 emergency, the church will be open as long as the church has power, but members should not put themselves at risk attempting to get to church. Even if you are scheduled to be an usher, greeter, or soloist, don’t put yourself at risk, we can find someone else to fill in or do without. If you can’t make it to church, take some time at home to read some scripture and pray, God won’t mind that you are doing it someplace other than the sanctuary.
