As I write from our kitchen table, a white spotted doe is grazing not but 10 feet beyond our glass door. Her fur is ruffled and nose is black. Faith Promise/Time and Talent

This Sunday we will celebrate Stewardship Sunday. As part of our annual Stewardship campaign, we also ask you to consider how you might be interested in sharing your time and other talents (not just your money) with Grace United Church of Christ in the coming year. Today, I sit in my study, I am praying for the islands in the Atlantic as another Hurricane is bearing down on them, I pray for violence to end in St. Louis, but stand for justice, I pray for Mexico City and the devastation of the 7.1 earthquake, I pray for people I know and people who’s names have been given to me who are struggling with illness, disease, drug use, etc… and the sky is kind of grey but…
