Worship and COVID-19

Service cancelled this morning
Due to the poor condition of the streets in Lancaster and especially the ice under the snow. We are canceling worship this morning. Stay safe and we’ll see you next week.
Christ the King Sunday/Thanksgiving Sunday
The last Sunday before Advent is Christ the King Sunday, this year that happens to fall the Sunday before Thanksgiving, so we’ll be celebrating both this Sunday. Join us for this celebration before you head out for the holiday with family and friends. Worship is at 10:30 AM this tomorrow morning.
End of Summer (Worship Hours)
We will be returning to our normal worship hours this coming Sunday, 8 September. Worship will again be at 10:30 AM, the choir will also begin rehearsal at 9:30AM this Sunday. We also have a number of special events scheduled for the next few weeks, so keep an eye on this blog or our Facebook page.
Summer hours
Beginning next Sunday, 9 June 2013, worship will be at 9:00AM every Sunday morning through the summer. Come join us and still have plenty of time to enjoy the day with the family and friends.

Rev. Jackie Nehls is back this Sunday morning
Rev. Jackie Nehls will be preaching again this Sunday. Her sermon is entitled “Where you go, I will follow” and is based on Ruth 1: 1-18 and Mark 12: 28-34.

Celebrate Thanksgiving with Grace
This Sunday, November 22, 10:30 am, our youth will be leading a Thanksgiving worship service. Kelsey Jones will be preaching a sermon entitled, “Living Thanksgiving.” I’ve read it and it’s great! Hope you’ll join us!

Easter Vigil or Good Friday Service
As you may know, the Worship Board is attempting to determine if we should continue our tradition of an Easter Vigil (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday) or if we should begin a new tradition of a service Good Friday evening. Â This is your last week to voice your opinion. Â Please indicate your preference on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex by Sunday, March 8.

Lenten Sermon Series
In Sunday morning worship from March 8-April 5, our sermons will be about discernment. That’s a churchy word which simply (although its certainly rarely simple!) means trying to figure out what God’s will is for our lives. Women in Worship Sunday
For the last 2.5 years, having a woman in the pulpit has not been that unusual at Grace Church. Prior to that, however, it was by far the exception rather than the rule. Women are the backbone of our congregation and so for many years, we have celebrated the contributions of lay women in the congregation by having them lead the worship service.
