Blessed are You…
Jesus says we are all blessed, and promises us what we need. Jesus starts his story with the ending, he tells us that we will get what we need. We are called to create an inclusive society. It will be challenging, but we will receive peace, mercy, and the kingdom of heaven. We live between “Oh, Lord” and “Praise, Jesus”
Trust God
When the ground is swept from beneath our feet, can we, will we trust in God. There is goodness to be beheld even in trouble.
We Can’t Look Away
God calls us to welcome the immigrant, the refugee. Jesus was an undocumented refugee as a child. We cannot look away.
Patience
Outrage as the only response won’t help anything. How we wait makes a difference. How will we as people of faith wait for the coming of shalom?
It’s No Small Thing
God wants everyone to have what they need. No bullying. No intimidation.
Are We Hypocrites?
Do we want to help others or are we unwilling to build relationships? Jesus invites us to walk a new walk.
Exhausted and Overworked
Community takes work and can be overwhelming, but God is always present.
On the Journey
When the pain is real, it is hard to hear the promise. Suffering and pain are part of the journey, but if we stay, we will reach Easter.
How Does a Weary World Rejoice
If only one kiss could solve all the world’s problems. Can we find Joy among war and turmoil and all the weight we carry?
