A Reflection on the First Nowell
God will lead us to the Good News that is shalom on earth.
Glorifying Peace
You are invited to share in the peace that Christ brings into the world. When you experience the love of God, you can’t help but want to share that with others. Let us share that love and the peace it brings.
Mary’s Song of Liberation
As we wait for Christmas, Marry reminds us that God chooses the lowly, the poor, the refugee, and God sends away the rich and privileged. God favors the disadvantaged, the oppressed and the marginalized and brings wholeness.
Patience
Outrage as the only response won’t help anything. How we wait makes a difference. How will we as people of faith wait for the coming of shalom?
All the Saints
No matter who we are or what we have done, we belong to God. God’s grace makes us saints, or at least saints-in-training.
Running Away from God
Who will go? Who will speak up? Who will go and save “those people”? God will spit us out in the direction we need to go.
Change
We are always changing. It can be scary, but it is part of life. Not better or worse, but different. We may not like it, but it is inevitable.
It’s No Small Thing
God wants everyone to have what they need. No bullying. No intimidation.
Keep It Up
Why does God give so much? God gives shalom/peace/community and it is good.
Are We Hypocrites?
Do we want to help others or are we unwilling to build relationships? Jesus invites us to walk a new walk.
