Thanks to everyone who helped make Holy Week and the Easter Sunday Celebration a special time. We had a good attendance in the events and worship around Easter. The morning demonstrated the potential for Grace Church and her future. Already we have several things happening fast:
- On May 7 the Christian Service Board is supplying food for a special event with the students of West Elementary in Lancaster.
- On Saturday, May 10 Grace Church is having our second annual Children’s Fun Fest. Many of you signed up to volunteer and provide goodies for this event at worship yesterday. It is the day before Mother’s Day.
- Pentecost Sunday and the Celebration of the Birthday of the Church is June 8
- Vacation Bible School is set for June 16-19.
On the new side of things, I thank Jim Clausing for his redevelopment of the Grace Church Internet and Cell phone connections. We have a super new website and Facebook page. You can also use Twitter to learn about the life and activities of Grace Church. The contacts are:

Jim also has increased the power and speed of our Wi-Fi in the sanctuary. It will help our slides and films during worship. To continue reaching out, I am hoping the day will come when we can share worship live on the internet or cell phones. As the Pastoral Search Committee continues moving forward with potential candidates for the next pastor of Grace Church, I have been informed that several are turning to our internet sites to review our church and to listen to the pastor’s sermons. Jim has done a special task in making it easy to go back to listen to sermons of the past Sunday or many, many before. I invite you to take a look at the new Grace Church internet creations.  Â
What are Grace’s next steps toward newness? It will take you and the new Pastor to make them happen. I continue to enjoy my time with all of you. As I declared and invited you to text by your cellphone on Easter:
On this Great Year for Easter, God is Alive! Amen!
In the Peace of Christ,
Pastor Dennis Sparks                                                                                                                              Â
