Sorry this blog has been so quiet of late, I’ll have another post right after this one, but it is that time of year again. One week from today is the annual Chicken Noodle dinner. There are still work slots available for signup (see sheets outside the office door or call). Here are some dates to mark on your calendars (and turn those clocks back tonight, you get an extra hour of sleep).
November:
- 2 Nov (2:00AM) – Daylight Saving Time ends
- 2 Nov (10:30) – Communion
- 6 Nov (6:30PM) – Men of Grace: Chicken Noodle setup
- 7 Nov (9:00AM) – Chicken picking; also cakes can be dropped off until 11:30AM
- 8 Nov – preparation most of the day, cakes can be dropped off after 11:00AM, serving from 4:30-7:00PM, followed by cleanup.
- 17 Nov – newsletter articles due
- 26 Nov (7:30PM) – Thanksgiving Eve service (youth “make your own pizza” @ 5:45PM)
- 27 Nov – Thanksgiving Day (enjoy the turkey and football)
28 Nov (7:00AM-3:00PM) – Parents’ Day Out: babysitting provided by the youth fellowship and adult work trip participants so parents can shop the sales- 30 Nov – Advent begins
December:
- 7 Dec – Christmas caroling
- 13 Dec – Cookie Walk
- 14 Dec – Sunday School Christmas Pagent and Birthday Party for Jesus
- 21 Dec – Congregational meeting after worship
- 24 Dec – Christmas Eve services (7:00 and 11:00PM)
- 25 Dec – Christmas
