Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Easter blessings abound…
Grace United Church of Christ is a great place filled with family, friends, and fellowship, love, mission, baptismal promises, and worship. We gather to hear God’s word of hope and we share with our actions, God’s deeds. Our mission statement:
Experiencing God’s grace, Seeking God’s mission, Sharing God’s love…
I believe that we are called to be the church in our very lives. I believe we are called to be the church in our very actions. I believe we are called to be the church every minute of every day. I believe we are called to experience God’s grace daily, hourly, every minute, I believe that we live each day by seeking God’s mission in our lives, I believe that we share God’s love in everything we do. I believe that we are called to invite neighbors, friends, and strangers to our midst.
We do this by living out our baptismal promises, we do this by living out Christ’s resurrection, we do this by asking questions, and growing in our faith. We do this by hearing the stories and studying the stories. We do this by listening and sharing together. We do this by music and silence and worship and prayer. We do this by stretching ourselves and challenging ourselves. We do this by coming out of our comfort zones and growing in faith, separately and together. We do this by opening ourselves up and sharing radical welcome, which is embracing the other in transformational change.
I believe I am called to lead Grace UCC to be a transformational church; a church that lives and breathes the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that I am called to challenge us with God’s word, and teach us with the gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe that I am called to inspiring generosity, continuing testament, re-imaging the gifts from God, Extravagant welcome, and changing lives. I believe I am called to challenge, and we are called to work together.
I believe in the last year and a half we have grown in faith and love and mission and transformation. I believe that Grace UCC is a vital congregation that takes seriously the call of the Gospel to live as disciples, friends, of Jesus Christ, our risen Savior. I believe that I am called to push and shove us into the love of God which includes everyone, including those that we might not agree with. This is not an easy task. I am not in it alone. The respect and love that you show me; helps me to be the pastor that you want and need. I believe we are… God’s children working together, radically welcoming all, and embracing the transformation change we are called to live.
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Amen!
Sharing Christ’s mission together, Pastor Mindy
