CSEOA Prayer Calendar

For the week of 2 Nov, the Central Southeast Ohio Association Calendar of Prayer lifted up The United Church of Mount Sterling.  Please keep Rev. Dan Shipley and the members and friends of the United Church of Mt. Sterling in your prayers.  For the week of 9 Nov, the Calendar of Prayer lifts up the Association Department for Preparation for Authorized Ministry.  This is the department responsible for helping those who feel called to the ministry discern what their call is and what sort of authorization is required and ultimately whether or not they have fulfilled the requirements for authorization in and on behalf of the United Church of Christ.  The department has more than 20 people currently in the discernment process that could ultimately lead to licensure as a lay pastor, commissioning to a specialized ministry such as music, christian education, church administration, or social justice, or ordination, so they are a very busy group and this is a great responsibility, so please keep the members of the department in your prayers this week (don’t worry, the 20+ “members in discernment” got their own week to be lifted up in prayer in April).
