As Pastor Mindy mentioned during the announcements, there will be a bus taking folks from the Southwestern Ohio-Northern Kentucky Association (SONKA) and the Central Southeast Ohio Association (CSEOA) to General Synod on Sunday, 28 June, leaving from Columbus at 9:30AM and returning at 8:30PM. Our congregation will be represented by 2 official delegates (Jim Clausing and Pastor Mindy), but this is a great opportunity for any member of the congregation who wants to see the workings of the national setting of the United Church of Christ and to worship with 4000+ others from around the denomination and across the country. It has been more than 20 years since General Synod was this close and it could be a long time before it is this close again, so join us. 8:00 Bus will leave the SONKA Office Parking Lot for Cleveland
9:30 Bus will stop at the Central Southeast Association on the way
to pick up additional pilgrims
12:00 Bus will arrive at the UCC National Offices.
12:00 Lunch at the Radisson Gateway Hotel
1:00 Tour Amistad Chapel at the UCC National Offices.
1:30 Bus will leave for the Cleveland Convention Center
and General Synod
1:45 Roam around the massive exhibit hall
and see what the UCC is all about!
3:00 General Synods Community Worship Service
5:00 Grab a snack in the exhibit hall before heading home.
6:00 Bus leaves the Cleveland Convention Center for home
8:30 Central Southeast Pilgrims will return to Columbus
10:00 SONKA Pilgrims will return to Centerville.
