This week the Central Southeast Ohio Association lifts up in prayer St. John’s Evangelical Protestant UCC, Columbus. Please remember Rev. Gini Lohmann-Bauman, and all the members and friends of St. John’s in your prayers this week. Also, this week, special prayers for the friends and family of Rev. Dan Vander Ploeg who passed away on 16 Aug at the age of 76 and was laid to rest last Saturday in Minnesota. Dan served on the Ohio Conference staff during the late 1970s and early 1980s where among other duties he was the staff person with responsibility for youth ministry. Dan was a gentle, gracious man who influenced many of us over the years. Dan lived with Parkinson’s Disease for 21 years, complicated by Lewy Body Dementia towards end of life. He will be greatly missed by those of us who had the privilege to know him.
